The greenlandic sleddog is an important part of our cultural heritage. The people of the arctic have used the sleddog for company, to carry or pull their things. The Thule people, from whom the greenlandic population is descented, naturally also had sleddogs.  
In Qasigiannguit the sleddogs are primarily used in leisure time, few hunt and fish using them, some drive with tourists or race for fun. 
Diskobay Tours' sleddogs are used for recreation for the owners and to drive with tourists.

It is possible to see the feeding or watering of the dogs and even pet some of them. 
The pack is between 40 and 50 dogs, they all have a name and they all love to be pet, some are of course more shy to strangers than others.  The dogs are an important part of Diskobay Tours, since they pull the sledges in the wintertime.

Practical info: You might get dirty during this tour, so wear clothes that can handle it.
