A beautiful boatride from Ilulissat, pass the mouth of the icefiord, you find the cozy little settlement of Ilimanaq. Only 51 people live here all year.
Ilimanaq was founded as a colony in the 17th century and was an important spot during in the Diskobay. The history of the settlemet and the people of the settlement you will hear on the tour.
We start in the morning from Ilulissat, we sail south of the icefiord and hopefully we will spot a whale on the way.
Arriving to Ilimanaq we will take a settlement walk, your guide will tell you the history of Ilimanaq and it's people. After the settlementwalk we take a small hike in the back country, before we join the boat and sail back to Ilulissat. Hopefully with the view of a whale or two.
