Sea Safari

Join us on this beautiful boatride from Ilulissat in the nearby area. Nature around Greenland is wild and powerful and watching the animals in their true surroundings is fascinating and exciting.   In the fall the whales start their travel south, but we might be lucky to spot some of them on our tour. We will also try to look for seals and the different many birds, while we enjoy the view of the icebergs and maybe even some of the cool local fisherboats that pull up longlines with halibut on. We do not wish to disturb the animals or the people working in the fisherboat, so all tours is done with respect. Dogsledding 1,5 hour

When you say winter in Greenland, you must also say dogsledding. This old tradition invented by the people of the Arctic, has been an important part of the history of the people living here. For travelling, hunting and in present time for fun. Dogsledding with the arctic sled dog is only possible north of the polar circle on the west coast of Greenland and on the east coast of Greenland. On this tour we start by a short talk about the sled dog and the sled, we give instructions on how to sit on the sled. If one would like to help to put on a harness on a dog, this can be arranged. The tour is a nice way to experience how a musher work with his dogs, and a good way to have a taste of the way people travelled the Arctic. The route of the trip depends on ice and snow conditions. We always take the safety for people and dogs seriously. The trail is close to our dog pack, therefor it is fast and safe to get to the dogsledtrail - here the dogs will show off their strength pulling the sled. On a sled tour the dogs are often eager the first few minutes, before they find a prober tempo for the rest of the tour. We recommend warm clothes. It is possible to rent sealskin clothes, anorak and pants. In order to book clothing and boots, we need your size when booking.   Duration                  1,5-2 hours Difficulty level          2 of 5 - Dogsledding is a bumpy ride.  Age limit                  6 years old and up – all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult Size limit                 None Number limit           2 guests pr. sled Minimum                 1 guest Price Adult              DKK 1495,- Price 6 – 11 y.o       DKK 750,- Sealskin clotes        DKK 200,- (only adult size Small to XXLarge) Inclusive                 Dogsledding, lots of loving from dogs The dogsledding season depends on the snow, but we expect to arrange daily tours from December to April.
